Pilot: Lead Into Missing Malaysian Jetliner Seems Credible

(NECN) – Officials announced Thursday morning that search planes were dispatched to determine whether two large objects found bobbing in a remote part of the Indian Ocean were debris the missing Malaysian jetliner.

For a on the subject, we were joined by Paul Parys, who is a former Marine pilot who now flies for Commercial Airlines.

He said it looks as if the lead is credible and the wreckage is within the range of where the plane could possibly be.

Parys said that the black box on board the plane should last about 30 days and can go about 20,000 feet underwater.
