(NECN) - Police at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth are investigating an early morning assault on campus.
They say a man was assaulted and knocked to the ground by four men following a verbal dispute.
The argument began on a bus trip from Providence and continued as people got off the bus around 2 a.m. Saturday.
The victim was not a student.
He was treated and released from a local hospital.
Police say they have very little information about the suspects and are asking anyone who knows anything to contact them.
