(NECN) - Rain fell fast and furious across parts of New England on Saturday, causing flash floods in some areas -- even closing some streets.
As of 3:30 p.m., Storrow Drive eastbound and westbound at the Mass. Ave. Bridge and Longfellow Bridge were closed.
"This is the heaviest rain we've had in weeks, and we've had close to a month's worth of rain in some of these locations in just an hour or two," NECN meteorologist Tim Kelley said.

He said three-to-four inches of rain were picked up in just an hour or two.
"The worst of flooding rain is done," he said of Boston's situation.
