Thunderstorms Cause Widespread Damage in Boston

(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Severe thunderstorms caused serious damage in Boston, keeping emergency and power crews busy Sunday afternoon.

Steve MacDonald spokesperson for the Boston Fire Department joins NECN with more on the storm.

MacDonald says the storm was only in Boston for about 10 minutes, but caused serious damage in Allston, Brighton, Beacon Hill and the Back Bay area.

He says there are a "tremendous amount" of downed limbs, and reports of trees going into houses.
