Tornado Watch Canceled

(NECN) - A tornado watch was put into effect by the National Weather Service on Saturday afternoon, but was expiring early in all six New England states.

A watch means storms are capable of producing tornadoes. All tornado watches were canceled just before 8 p.m. They had been forecast to last until 10 p.m.

For a period of time, there was a tornado warning for parts of Maine near Lewiston and Lisbon.

The storm brought down trees and power lines in Andover and North Andover, Mass.

Another round of severe weather was expected before the weekend turns over.
