This concept is actually being tried out at a few forward-thinking companies, like a social media marketing firm in Canada.
The results? So far, so good. Employees haven't been abusing it, and they're getting their work done.
One employee says it's nice not to have to save a certain number of days for her trip to Cuba, and another says that anyone who tries to take advantage of the policy would be easily spotted.
Of course, it won't fly in a lot of workplaces, like manufacturing, but experts say that in places where people work on specific projects, the proposal can be a benefit.
