Victim Succumbs to Gunshot Wounds, Suspect Dead in Apparent Suicide

The search for the suspect in a Nashua, New Hampshire shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured has ended with an apparent suicide.

Police say the suspect shot a man and a woman on Merrimack Street in Nashua late Friday afternoon. Police determined this shooting was not a random act and notified surrounding town authorities to be on the lookout for a certain individual and vehicle.

Lawrence, Massachusetts Police believed they saw the vehicle matching the Nashua Police Department's description on Essex Street. When police approached the vehicle after 9 p.m. Friday night, they found the suspect dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

This case remains under investigation by Nashua Police, Lawrence Police, and the Essex DA's office.
