Wild Weather Prompts State of Emergency in Massachusetts

(NECN: Brad Puffer, Waltham, Mass.) - Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is touring flood damage in Waltham, Massachusetts.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Bay State and a flood warning remains in effect for most of Southern New England.

A storm that has dumped more than eight inches of rain on some parts of Massachusetts is continuing to cause headaches.

Some schools are closed, delays are reported at Logan International Airport and many roads and basements are flooded. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles an hour have been reported. Some rivers, including the Shawsheen in Wilmington and the Aberjona in Winchester, are reaching record levels.
