Alleged Beer Bottle Attack Lands Man Under Arrest in Acton, Mass.

One suspect is in custody following an alleged attack using a shard of glass from a broken beer bottle in Acton, Massachusetts.

Harold Hunter, 20, is charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon for an incident which took place on Friday night near 5300 Avalon Dr. in Acton.

At around 10:45 p.m., authorities responded to the scene and found two victims, a man and a woman, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Signs of an altercation were apparent inside one of the apartments in the building, including broken wine bottles, tossed furniture and blood.

Officers determined that Hunter was the aggressor in the altercation and had fled the scene. Hunter allegedly threw a beer bottle at the female victim, causing it to break, and in turn got into a physical altercation with the male victim, allegedly cutting him with a shard of glass.

Both victims were transported by hospital to Emerson Hospital and subsequently discharged.

Hunter was located at his own home around 2:40 a.m. Saturday, where he was placed under arrest. He is being held on $500 bail and is expected to be arraigned at Concord District Court on Tuesday. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
