Police in Manchester, New Hampshire, are asking for the public's help in finding a bicycle that was stolen from a military veteran, known for his colorful attitude.
Curtis Payne, known as "the Major," is often seen on Elm Street cleaning up trash, waving to citizens and engaging in conversations while wearing his bright orange traffic vest.
City officials and business owners applaud and appreciate his efforts to keep the city clean.
The owner of The Smoke Shop purchased a bicycle for Payne so he could easily get to and from the area where he voluntarily works everyday.
Payne's bike, which was last seen parked outside of the Shaskeen two days ago, was taken by an unknown person(s).
The Green Schwinn is one of Payne's favorite possessions, according to police.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of the bicycle, please call: (603) 668-8711.
