Boston Police Recover Shotgun, Drugs, and Money

Police executed two warrants in connection to the case

On Thursday afternoon the Boston Police Department's Youth Violence Strike Force executed two search warrants in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood.

According to the police department the warrant was for 127 Brown Avenue where officers were searching for 23-year-old Dion Smith who was wanted out of Attleboro District Court.

Smith was placed in custody without incident.

Police searched his apartment and recovered a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun, several rounds of ammunition, thirty grams of cocaine, a large amount of marijuana packaged for sale, and $4,358.

Dion will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court for possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of a sawed off shotgun with an obliterated serial number, trafficking Class B drugs, and possession with intent to distribute Class D drugs.
