A person has been arrested after a child was grazed by a bullet in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
Officers responded to a report that a person had been shot on Talbot Avenue. The Boston Police Department said a 7-year-old girl's head was grazed by a bullet.
The child's injuries are considered minor. She was not hospitalized.

"This is obviously a very tragic incident. Fortunately, the 7-year-old only has a graze," Mayor Kim Janey said.
"Thank God it is a graze, but centimeters from there, we could have been at a very different crime scene," Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins said.
The person arrested was not immediately identified.
