Reservation systems for ferries traveling to and from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket were restored Sunday afternoon after a broken air conditioning unit shut services down for hours.
No reservations were able to be made online, at the terminals or by phone Sunday morning.
The Steamship Authority honored all existing vehicle and high-speed ferry reservations, but any last-minute travel was on a standby basis only, according to the transit system.
The website and reservation systems returned back online by Sunday afternoon.
