Hundreds of Hillary Clinton supporters braved snow and sleet Tuesday in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to hear from the Democrat seeking the party's nomination for President of the United States.
In the town hall meeting-style event, the former Secretary of State mentioned no opponents by name, but did blast Republicans in general, charging they have not done enough on climate change.
Clinton told the crowd she will unveil a new plan very soon to address autism, and urged action on Alzheimer's research, saying scientists have a "real shot" of finding a cure by 2025.
In one of several moments that drew rousing applause, Clinton blasted the gun lobby for opposing reforms.
"It is really time for gun owners to form a different organization that will do more on gun safety, do more on gun responsibility, and stand up for the safety of children and our communities," Clinton said.
Relic Reilly, a 9-year-old from Townsend, Massachusetts, asked Clinton why his early childhood educator mom isn't paid better.
"My husband talks about that," Relic's mom, Bita Reilly, told necn. "He's an engineer and he says his coworkers, which are female, are not getting paid as much as he is."

"I think we still have problems," Clinton said of wage inequality in response to the elementary schooler's question. "And if you deny those problems, you're denying the fastest way to increase incomes in America."
From Portsmouth, Clinton headed to Berlin, New Hampshire for another town hall meeting. Her chief rival for the Democrats' nomination, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, is holding a town hall meeting of his own in Manchester, New Hampshire on January 4.
Republican Candidate John Kasich was also visiting New Hampshire on Tuesday, stopping in both Nashua and Keene for town hall events to talk with supporters.
