Man Gets 30 Years for Fatally Stabbing Cab Driver

Ramiro Arcos-Garcia pleaded guilty Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court murdering 51-year-old Jackson Pierre-Louis on Dec. 8, 2014.

A Connecticut man will be sentenced to serve 30 years behind bars after he admitted to fatally stabbing a Norwalk cab driver in December 2014.

The Stamford Advocate reports 34-year-old Ramiro Arcos-Garcia pleaded guilty Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court murdering 51-year-old Jackson Pierre-Louis on Dec. 8, 2014.

Prosecutors say Arcos-Garcia stabbed Pierre-Louis in the chest and twice in his stomach before fatally slashing him on the right side of his neck.

Arcos-Garcia gave police multiple stories about the murder, the last involving a sexual encounter between the two men.

The Norwalk man was also charged with attempted escape approximately six weeks after his arrest when guards found loose window latches, two prison-made knives and 60 feet of rope fashioned from bed sheets in his jail cell.
