Waterbury, Connecticut, police are investigating the shooting death of a 49-year-old city man.
Authorities say the man was shot once in the head at about 10 p.m. Monday at the corner of Wood and Walnut streets. He was later pronounced dead at Saint Mary's Hospital.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
Police haven't announced any arrests and it's not clear if any suspects have been identified. Officers interviewed people in the neighborhood late Monday and early Tuesday morning.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Waterbury police.
