
A person was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries Tuesday after a crash on Interstate 95 in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m., Georgetown fire officials said the following day. A utility van rolled over in a wooded area off the highway.
A passenger of the van was unhurt, but crews had to use cutters to extricate the driver, whose legs were pinned under the dashboard.
The driver was flown to Boston Medical Center with injuries that are considered serious, fire officials said.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said traffic was impacted as the medical helicopter responded.
The Georgetown Fire Department said the scene was clear by about 9 p.m.
