Massachusetts State Police divers will return to Floating Bridge Pond Wednesday morning, to search for missing Swampscott mother Jaimee Mendez.

Mendez, 25, the mother of a 5-year-old severely autistic boy, has been missing for nearly two weeks now, prompting divers to begin a search of the Lynn pond.

So far, nothing has turned up. Divers spent about three hours in the water Tuesday.

Dozens of officers scoured the woods near an industrial park in Salem last week with no luck.

Mendez's family also searched behind the home of a Level 3 sex offender, the man with whom they claim Mendez was with when she was last heard from Nov. 6.

Her family says police found her sneakers in a trash barrel in Lynn and her jacket, cell phone and ID in a wooded area in Salem.

Authorities have yet to identify a suspect or person of interest in what is still considered the case of a missing person. Still, her family has been seriously concerned since Mendez went missing. The young woman from Swampscott is diabetic and has been without her medication for too long.
