How to Make the Most Out of the Longest Day of the Year

Monday June 20th is the longest day of the year, also known as the Summer Solstice.

To help you make the most of the longest day, we put together a list of activities you can try.

Go to a Red Sox game
The Sox are playing the Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park tonight at 7:10 p.m. You can still grab tickets! 

Take an outdoor yoga class
Some.yoga.studio is offering two free classes at the Baxeter Riverfront Park Amphitheater in Somerville. There is a Vinyasa Flow class at 6 p.m. and a Detox Flow class at 7 p.m. 

Head to the Summer Solstice Celebration
The Harvard Museums of Science and Culture kicks off the summer with circus performers, music, dancing, food trucks, and activities for the whole family. The event is free to the public. 

Tour the Boston Harbor on a sail boat
The Adirondack III sailboat leaves from Rowes Wharf at 6:30 p.m. and sails past the World Trade Center, Harpoon Brewery, and the Moakley Federal Courthouse, among other landmarks. Tickets can be purchased online

Enjoy an outdoor meal
Head to any restaurant with an outdoor patio and enjoy the warm weather with a cold drink. 

Watch the sunset
Grab a chair and head to your favorite viewing spot to watch the first sunset of the summer. The sun sets at 8:31 p.m.
