A man is dead and another injured in a shooting at an apartment building in Maine Monday, officials said.
The shooting was reported about 9:12 a.m. on Main Street near Bradstreet Road in Vassalboro, state police said. An argument was heard before multiple gunshots rang out.
State police troopers arrived at the apartment building to find the dead and injured men, along with a third who wasn't hurt. All three lived in the building.
No one was in custody by the early afternoon, but the incident presented no risk to the public, police said.

Maine State Police had earlier told NBC Boston that an incident was under investigation in Vassalboro, which is just north of the state capital, Augusta.
