1 Dead, 2 Critically Hurt in Crash on Snowy Maine Roadway

One person is dead and two others were critically injured in a mutli-vehicle collision on Route 27 in Kingfield, Maine on Tuesday.

News Center Maine reports that snowy conditions are being blamed for the crash, which involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger car shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Seth Gordon, 28, one of two passengers in the smaller car, died at the scene of the accident. The driver, Leroy Gordon, 76, and another passenger, 18-year-old Scott Kidder, were transported to Franklin Memorial Hosptial. There is no update on their condition at this time.

According to witnesses, speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Cedrick Allaire, a 25-year-old from Quebec who was driving the truck, was uninjured in the accident.
