2 Canadian Citizens Killed in Crash

Police say Martin Poulin and Francine Dumas, of Saint-Georges, Quebec, were found in their car in West Forks Plantation by family members Tuesday afternoon

Authorities are investigating the deaths of two Canadian citizens who were killed in a car crash in Maine.

Police say Martin Poulin and Francine Dumas, of Saint-Georges, Quebec, were found in their car in West Forks Plantation by family members Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the couple, both 58, were on their way to New Hampshire for a wedding. They were traveling south on a two-lane highway, went off the road and struck a tree.

Police say the tree fell onto the car, hiding the wreck from plain view.

Police believe the crash occurred on July 28.

Relatives filed an official missing person's report Tuesday after the couple failed to arrive in New Hampshire. Quebec police then notified Maine authorities about the search.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
