2 Killed in Maine Motorcycle Crash

The crash occurred Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. on Route 113

Maine State Police say a husband and wife were killed when their motorcycle was struck by a pick-up truck in the town of Hiram.

The crash occurred Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. on Route 113. The pick-up truck was in the wrong lane of travel when the crash occurred, according to police.

The victims were identified as 67-year-old Patrick Vaillancourt and his wife, 64-year-old Margaret Vaillancourt.

Police say the operator of the pick-up truck, 33-year-old Kenneth Bouffard, was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed and police say the Oxford District Attorney will investigate. The road was closed four about four hours during the investigation.
