2 Sought After Ohio Man Stabbed in Maine

The victim, an unidentified man from Cleveland, told police he was attacked by two men around Market Lane

Police in Brunswick, Maine, are searching for two suspects who stabbed a 39-year-old Ohio man over the weekend near the Maine town's downtown business district.

Commander Marc Hagan says the initial call reporting the stabbing on Market Lane was received around 2:17 p.m. Sunday. Officers were headed to the scene when police received a second call stating that a wounded man was in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven convenience store on Pleasant and Maine streets.

The victim, an unidentified man from Cleveland, told police he was attacked by two men around Market Lane. Police say witnesses reported seeing two people running away from the area around when the first call for assistance was placed.

Maine State Police's canine unit responded, but law enforcement was unable to locate the suspects.
