6 Arrested for Sale of Cocaine, Heroin

Six people have been arrested in Augusta, Maine, in connection with the sale of crack cocaine and heroin from two homes.

Six people have been arrested in Augusta, Maine, in connection with the sale of crack cocaine and heroin from two homes.

The cocaine and heroin were purchased by undercover drug agents during an ongoing investigation that took place over the last several months.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agents, Augusta and State Police, the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration searched two homes on Second Avenue and Mayflower Road on February 20. Approximately 1.5 grams of heroin, 14 grams of crack cocaine, and other drug trafficking evidence was seized during the search.

Rahiem Brent, 31, of New York, was charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking. His bail was set at $50,000.

Kathy Tupper, 40, of Augusta, Maine, was charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking. Her bail was set at $10,000.

Eric Anderson, 44, of Augusta, was charged with Class B Trafficking. There is no bail set.

18-year-old Nancy Rodrigues of Augusta was charged with Class B Trafficking. Her bail was set at $5000.

Dominique Kirk, 27, of Augusta, was charged with Violations of Conditions of Release with no bail.

41-year-old Josh Carey of Augusta was charged with Violation of Probation and also has no bail.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are likely.
