Cops: 2 Charged With Stealing Delivery Car Left Sign on Roof

Two people suspected of stealing a Domino's pizza delivery driver's car

Two people suspected of stealing a Domino's pizza delivery driver's car made it easy for police to track them down - they left the company's distinctive sign stuck on the vehicle's roof.

Police tell the Portland Press Herald the driver was making a delivery at about 1 a.m. Monday, when someone drove off in his car.

Officer Terry Fitzgerald, who was on patrol, heard the report on his radio. About an hour later, he spotted the car leaving the Cumberland Farms with the Domino's red, white and blue still on the roof.

Fitzgerald charged 34-year-old Haben Taffere, of Portland and 22-year-old Rachel Ryan, of South Portland, with theft by unauthorized use.

They are being held on bail. It's not clear if they have lawyers.
