Crews Resuming Search for Body of Man in Maine Lake

Crews returned to the scene Thursday morning to resume their search

Authorities in Bridgton, Maine, say they are looking for a 19-year-old man who is presumed dead after falling from a pontoon boat in Long Lake.

Crews returned to the scene Thursday morning to resume their search.

Police say the teenager is from Hollis Center, Maine, and he fell from the boat just before noon on Wednesday. They say the man was a passenger in a rented pontoon boat with seven others and he fell overboard and beneath the boat.

The families on the boat were from Maine and Texas. Police have not identified the man. They say he was not wearing a life jacket when he fell overboard.

Divers for the Maine Warden Service and Cumberland County Sheriff's Office are attempting a recovery in about 40 feet of water.
