An investigation is underway into a death at an Old Town, Maine, pulp mill.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and local police are investigating the death Tuesday afternoon at the Expera Specialty Solutions facility.
A company spokeswoman says the victim, pronounced dead at the scene, was not an employee, but a contractor.
No details of the death were disclosed.
The person's name was not made public.
The formerly closed mill reopened earlier this year after it was purchased by Expera Specialty Solutions of Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
