Lobsterman's Boat Sinks 3 Times in 2 Months

The incidents began last month and recently happened again Friday night

A Port Clyde, Maine, lobsterman says his family and finances are suffering after his lobster boat sunk for the third time in two months, something he thinks is being caused by another person.

Tony Hooper tells necn affiliate WCSH that the incidents began last month and recently happened again Friday night.

He thinks someone is trying to force him out of the town in a territorial dispute simply because he lives in a different part of town.

Maine Marine Patrol officials say they don't have a clear suspect or motive in the case.

Hooper says with the recent arrival of his and his girlfriend's child as well as the frequent repairs, he has limited income.

A $2,000 reward is being offered by Maine's Operation Game Thief for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
