Maine Prison Inmate Dies; Cause of Death Not Released

Harold Frederick Gleason, 67, was serving a split 20-year sentence for unlawful sexual contact and gross sexual assault

The Department of Corrections said a prisoner at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham has died, according to WCSH.

Harold Frederick Gleason, 67, died around 9 p.m. at Maine Medical Center in Portland. His death remains under review and no cause was released.

Gleason was serving a split 20-year sentence, with all but 7-years suspended, for unlawful sexual contact and gross sexual assault. He was sentenced on Aug. 6, 2013 and was scheduled for release on Nov. 18, 2018.
