A Buxton, Maine, man has been convicted of heroin trafficking charges following a bench trial that was delayed because a key witness was in the hospital.
Dale Pinkham Sr. was convicted this week in York County Superior Court of three counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. Three counts of possession of marijuana were dismissed. He was also ordered to forfeit firearms and cash seized during the course of the execution of a search warrant.
The Journal Tribune reports that the aggravated trafficking charges stem from the seizure in December 2013 of heroin, five pounds of marijuana, cash and several firearms from the 54-year-old Pinkham's home.
Pinkham faces up to 30 years in prison at sentencing scheduled for Jan. 5.
