A Maine man who pleaded guilty to drunken driving in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 21-year-old woman in Farmington has been sentenced to three years in prison, according to necn affiliate WCSH.

Tommy Clark of Industry pled guilty in June to operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Authorities say Clark hit 21-year-old Taylor Gaboury of Wilton on U.S. Route 2 in the early morning hours of Jan. 1.

Police say 25-year-old Clark fled the scene, and was later found at a motel. Court documents say Clark admitted he had been drinking a short time before he hit Gaboury.

Clark apologized in court for his actions.
