Jury selection is due to get underway in the trial of a Maine man charged with brutally beating another man to death.
Jason Cote is charged with murder in the July 2013 bludgeoning death of 47-year-old Ricky Cole, whose bloodied body was found in his rented home in the town of Detroit. Authorities say the slaying was drug related.
The trial was delayed for a third time over the summer because Cote switched lawyers.
Detectives found Cole in the blood-spattered mobile home on July 18, 2013. DNA samples taken from Cote's clothing the day after the killing matched the DNA from Cole's blood. Cote has pleaded not guilty to murder.
