Mass. Fisherman Missing in Maine Found Safe

The service says 68-year-old Donald Jones of Shirley came to Maine on June 21 for a fishing and camping trip

EDITOR'S NOTE: Jones has been found safe and is returning home.

The Maine Warden Service is searching for a Massachusetts fisherman who has not been seen in a few days.

The service says 68-year-old Donald Jones of Shirley came to Maine on June 21 for a fishing and camping trip and was expected to return home by Monday at the latest.

Investigators believe Jones stayed at the Moose Brook Campsite in the Greenville area and left Monday. There has not been activity on his cellphone since, and his family has not heard from him.

The warden service says it is asking for helping in locating Jones. They say Jones was operating a silver Toyota Matrix and there should be a red canoe on the top along with camping gear.
