Meth Lab Found After Fire Inside Maine Shed

A meth lab was located after a fire inside a shed in Sherman, Maine, over the weekend.

The blaze was discovered by an off-duty firefighter who drove by the property on Gallison Rd. and saw that a man's clothes were on fire.

Todd Budick, 45, was treated at the scene for burns to his hands, arms and face. Budick then left the scene.

Fire investigators are being joined by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency's lab team on Monday to clean up the remnants of the meth lab.

Two weeks ago, the house that Budick lived in on the property burned to the ground. Fire investigators suspect that methamphetamine may have played a role in the fire, but the cause could not be determined because of the damage.

No charges have been lodged at this time.
