A man was killed Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash in New Sharon, Maine.
Jonathan Billings, 24, died when the 2007 Harley Davidson XL 1200 he was driving hit a fence post, according to police. He was not wearing a helmet.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said a man was driving his motorcycle when he went off the road in the near 579 Farmington Falls Road or Route 27.

Crews were called to the area just after 6 p.m. Sunday.
Farmington Police had attempted to stop the motorcycle along Route 27, but it sped off at over 100 mph around 1 a.m. Because of the speed, police lost track of the bike immediately and did not chase it.
A resident discovered the motorcycle in his field and Billings' body nearby on Sunday night and called police.
It was the sixth highway death in Maine over the weekend. Four of them involved motorcycles.
Also on Sunday, a woman died in Durham when her motorcycle crashed along Route 125, and a Fort Kent man died when his motorcycle hit another motorcycle on Route 161 in Fort Kent.
A single-car crash Saturday afternoon on Route 102 in Southwest Harbor also killed a man.
On Friday night, a man was killed when his motorcycle struck a deer on Hammet Road in Enfield. The other highway death was the driver of a car that collided with a tractor trailer on Route 117 in Buckfield on Sunday afternoon.
