A 21-year-old Maine Maritime Academy student who was last seen in Orono two months ago accidentally drowned in the Penobscot River, according to the Maine Medical Examiner's Office.

The parents of David Breunig tell The Portland Press Herald that the body of their son was found Friday.

Elaina Breunig says she was notified by the Maine Warden Service that a body matching the description of David was pulled from the river in Bangor. She says her son's shoes and jeans were on the body and his wallet was also found.

Warden Service spokesman Cpl. John MacDonald says the body was recovered by Bangor firefighters near Sea Dog Brewing and Interstate 395.
