A person is recovering from injuries sustained when they were dumped into a garbage truck as they were sleeping in a dumpster in Maine.
Screams for help were heard from staff at a Bangor nursing home, which led to the discovery of the person, according to the Bangor Fire Department's Facebook post. The person had been sleeping in a dumpster outside the Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center when a trash truck unknowingly dumped them in their vehicle.
Fire crews were able to rescue the person from the truck. The person suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Northern Light EMMC.
Fire crews also picked up trash that was unloaded in order to free the unidentified person.
