Police: Man Downloaded Child Porn at Parents' Home

A former Bowdoinham, Maine, man accused of downloading sexually explicit images and videos of children has pleaded guilty to charges.

Daniel Lajoie Jr. pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Bangor to a charge of possession of child pornography.

Court records show the Department of Homeland Security suspected the 46-year-old Lajoie was sharing sexually explicit videos of children online. Authorities in August 2012 searched the home of Lajoie's parents in Oakland and his Randolph home.

The Portland Press Herald reports Lajoie admitted during questioning to downloading child pornography while at his parents' house. Authorities said agents found dozens of images and more than 100 videos of child pornography.

Lajoie faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. A sentencing date was not immediately available
