Investigators say a Tennessee man charged in connection with a five-vehicle crash in southern Maine was under the influence and speeding at the time of the March accident.
A Knox County grand jury indicted 54-year-old Randall Weddle on two counts of manslaughter and two counts of aggravated criminal operating under the influence on April 29. The indictment wasn't made public until after the Greenville, Tennessee, man was arrested in Virginia on Friday.
The March 18 crash along state Route 17 in Washington killed 74-year-old Paul Fowles and 45-year-old Christina Torres-York.
Police say Weddle's blood-alcohol content was 0.09 when his tractor-trailer overturned.

It wasn't immediately known if Weddle had a lawyer; a possible phone number for him rang unanswered Tuesday.
