The SAD 6 school board voted to accept the resignation of Frank Sherburne.

The superintendent of a school system in Maine has resigned following a violation of the district’s nepotism policy.

According to necn affiliate WCSH, the SAD 6 school board voted to accept the resignation of Frank Sherburne.

The board admitted the nepotism policy was violated when they hired Sherburne’s son as an education tech. No disciplinary action was taken.

Sherburne was given a $40,000 severance package and Assistant Superintendent Michael Roy was voted as interim superintendent
