Two People Found Dead Inside Richmond, Maine Home

Maine police say there is no indication of any threat to the public

The Maine Department of Public Safety has identified the two people who were found dead in a Maine home as Kirk Alexander Jr., 46, and Niomi Mello, 37.

Authorities say Mello was Alexander's longtime girlfriend.

The State's Medical Examiner's Office has completed autopsies on the two bodies, and the results will be released on Monday.

The bodies were found by Mello's 11-year-old son around noon Saturday, a spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety said.

The spokesman said state troopers were working with Richmond police on scene at the mobile home, located at 7 Post Road, a short distance from the intersection of Routes 138 and 197.

Police said there was no indication of any threat to the public.

Richmond is located about 20 miles south of the state's capital, Augusta.
