Police in Maine say a woman who they say was trying to provide bail for her boyfriend while she was intoxicated has been taken into custody.
Police say the 38-year-old woman was arrested Friday after she drove into an off-limits area of the York County Jail complex in Alfred. WGME-TV reports a deputy pulled the woman aside and determined she appeared to be intoxicated.
Police also say the woman was driving with a suspended license for a previous intoxicated driving charge. The York County Sheriff's Office says police transported the woman to the nearby jail where she was charged.
