Would You Like to Own a Maine Inn?

One owner is holding an essay contest -- and the establishment could be yours!

How would you like to own a Maine inn? Well, put a pencil to paper, and it could be yours!

The owner of the Center Lovell Inn and Restaurant in Maine is planning to retire after 22 years.

Janice Sage won it in an essay contest in 1993, and now, she is holding an essay contest of her own.

The inn was built in 1805, with a guest house built in 1985. There are seven guest rooms, two dining rooms, and a screened-in porch overlooking the White Mountains.

It costs $125 to enter the contest, and Sage expects more than 7,500 entries.

Sage will pick the 20 best entries by May 17. Two anonymous judges will select a winner by May 21.
