Man Accused of 3rd DUI Leads Police on 110 MPH Chase

Vermont State Police have arrested a man accused of driving under the influence and leading police on a pursuit which reached speeds in excess of 110 mph

Vermont State Police have arrested a man accused of driving under the influence and leading police on a pursuit which reached speeds in excess of 110 mph.

On Wednesday night at 10:58, police attempted to pull over a vehicle traveling 93 mph on a 65 mph roadway in Rockingham on Route 5.

The vehicle exited the highway at exit 6 and sped away. Police then pursued the vehicle, which traveled at over 110 mph at times.

The vehicle eventually pulled into a driveway and the driver was taken into custody.

He was identified as Justin Geiger, 32, of Chester. Police learned that Geiger was under the influence of alcohol and that he was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on Feb. 10 for violations of excessive speed, negligent operation, attempting to elude and a third DUI offense.

Geiger was also issued several conditions of release.
