Man Charged With Armed Threatening, Domestic Violence

A New Hampshire man is facing charges after allegedly threatening people with weapons.

Laconia police say officers responded Sunday night around 11 p.m. to Jewett Street after someone reported a man with a knife threatening people; the suspect also reportedly had a hammer and possibly a gun.

When officers arrived, a witness pointed out the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Benjamin Fields, as he was leaving his home.

Field was immediately arrested without incident and charged with two counts of criminal threatening and one count of domestic violence.

He's expected to be arraigned Monday at Belknap Superior Court.

It's unclear if he has an attorney.
