Man Charged With DUI, Hit-and-Run

Police in Middleton, New Hampshire, arrested a man on DUI and hit-and-run charges.

Police in Middleton, New Hampshire, arrested a man on DUI and hit-and-run charges on Thursday.

Around 4:30 p.m., Middleton Police were called and told that a large stone wall was struck by a black pick up truck. The witness said the suspect was on Route 153 and was headed towards town.

Within minutes of the call, a black pick up truck was located on Kings Highway. A witness to the crash was following the truck and began beeping and pointing to the truck when she saw the police.

The officer attempted to stop the truck and the driver continued along at speeds under 40 MPH.

Farmington Police and New Hampshire State Police responded to the area to assist.

Daniel M. Stanley, 50, was ultimately arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident. Stanley was released on $3000 bail and will be arraigned in the 7th Circuit Rochester on Oct. 21.

Additional charges may be pending.
