Two people were arrested in Virginia on Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting a day earlier in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Brockton police said they received multiple 911 calls around 4:44 p.m. Tuesdya reporting a shooting on East Street. When they arrived, officers said they found a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The man, identified by police as Brima Koroma, 24, of Boston, was taken to Brockton Hospital by ambulance, where he later died.
A suspect vehicle was seen driving south on East Street, and after an investigation, state police detectives with the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office obtained an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Brendan Fernandes of Brockton and 25-year-old Destiny A. Fontes Silie of Warwick, Rhode Island, who were last seen driving away from the shooting scene together in a blue car.

Around noon on Wednesday, Virginia State Police stopped a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle in Chesterfield, Virginia, and Fernandes and Silie were located and placed under arrest.
The pair will face a rendition process in Virginia before returning to Massachusetts. The district attorney's office said Fernandes will be charged with murder and Silie will be charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
