Man Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Tactical Police Vehicle

A New Hampshire man was seriously injured after he crashed into a tactical police vehicle Monday night in Farmington.

The vehicle, referred to as a "Bearcat," was parked outside of a residence on Milton Road, according to state police.

Officers were in the process of taking a subject into custody after he broke into a home and shot the home owner.

During this operation, 31-year-old Milton resident Jason Slattery crashed into the "Bearcat."

The officers inside the "Bearcat" were not injured. Slattery was taken to an area hospital with significant injuries. His current condition is not known.

Police say Slattery was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
