Massachusetts State Police: Stolen Car Had Baby, Dog Inside

Authorities say Kylie Andrade, 27, took off in the car from a supermarket

A bizarre kidnapping that began at a Brockton, Massachusetts, supermarket ended peacefully in Boston Friday afternoon.

Brockton police say two women, a 1-year-old child and a dog were together in a BMW at the Shaw's Supermarket on Belmont Street in Brockton around midday.

One of the women, who is also the child's mother, Kalee Melara, went into the market while the other woman, 27-year-old Kylee Andrade, waited in the car with the 1-year-old and the dog.

Police say at some point Andrade took off in the BMW, with the child and dog in the car.

The car was found in Roxbury in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Dudley Street with Andrade, the child and the dog still inside.

Police took Andrade into custody.

The 1-year-old was taken to Boston Medical Center for observation.

The child was in good condition at the time of transport Andrade, who has addresses in both Brockton and Bridgeport, Connecticut, is being charged with kidnapping.

Andrade will be arraigned in Brockton District Court on Monday.
